We hosted our daughter’s wedding at the Halim Time & Glass Museum. The Sunday brunch for our guests at the Gem Hotel and Suites was perfect. Everything was tasty, hot, and fresh. The dining room was beautiful and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed arranging everything with Ted. He made it very easy to plan.

We have come to stay at the GEM multiple times now. It's in a great location, it is a suite style room with plenty of space and a refrigerator and a mini stove if you wanted to cook, and a washer dryer combo. The breakfast is delicious and is included, the decor of the hotel is amazing and the service is outstanding.

The Gem has clean and modern kitchens. Brand new appliances. Nice bedding and room darkening shades. Lots of storage for clothing. Plenty of seating in the living room area. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely, well landscaped grounds. Delicious breakfast! Unique lobby decorating with antique carpets, Tiffany glass and chandeliers. Nice location in Evanston. Will return the next time we are in Chicago.

The Gem is a lovely spot tucked away in the heart of evanston. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. I can highly recommend the restaurant, particularly the calamari! It was expertly prepared by the chef as was the rest of the meal. Highly recommend ! Bravo Chef!

We stayed here for two nights while in the Chicago area. This boutique hotel far exceeded our expectations. The spacious room (suite) was modern, well equipped, and exceptionally clean. Although our stay was brief, it would have been suitable for an extended stay as well. The staff was great and the location couldn't be beat. Very quiet yet close to everywhere we wanted to be. We will definitely be returning.

We came to Evanston to send our ‘Cat off to NU and decided to stay at the Gem for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was nice and cozy and we slept very well. My husband and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast which serves from 8:00am till 11am. Our server “Andrea” was super sweet and nice. Though how busy the breakfast was, she still manage to greet us with a great smile and made sure our cups were always fill with coffee. Bravo to “Andrea”. We definitely will come back to the Gem whenever we come to visit our ‘Cat in NU.

We had a great stay at the GEM Museum and Suites. Everyone who works at this hotel is extremely kind and helpful. We had one very minor issue with our room, and it was resolved immediately. The daily included breakfast is also excellent. We enjoyed the close location to the University and downtown.

We were greeted with a gift basket and note from management for our anniversary. I felt like I was staying in someone’s guest room. Not cold and bustling like a chain hotel. I definitely plan to go back! Breakfast was 5 star dining, not a packaged eggs, overdone buffet. Thank you for making our Anniversary Trip special! Bonus: the Home Alone house is a 15 minute drive away.
